All foods ranked by goodness
So this ranked list of foods by nutritional density is thought-provoking but flawed.

I just don't believe that salsa (what kind, anyway?) is better than me for beets, and the reason I don't is sodium. But that's apparently not factored in.

Different ways of preparing food will impact the nutritional value.

Also, and I'm basing this off a couple hours of fascinating discussion with Dylan when we'd already had a few, different people have different gut flora which affect their ability to digest different kinds of food.

But I like the idea.

amen to the sodium. just heard the recent fda stuff about americans eating twice as much sodium as they should (cue increased regulation since packaged foodniks won't cut back themselves). stuff like this (and michael pollan, etc) is making me veer further and further from eating anything that comes with nutritional information on it. that bit of black-on-white is like an instant sign that you should think twice. (i know this isn't new...but it's newish thinking to me).

meh. i think attaching these numbers to food is silly. seek out a tasty, balanced, wholesome diet based on food that hasn't been processed much. o and no meat.
